From The Citizen - 23 April 2007

I would suggest the first action for Julian Wain is to log onto http://www.savegloucestermailcentre.co.uk/.

He will learn that the City Council, to which he has just become the new chief executive, is totally against the flawed plans of Royal Mail to relocate its sorting office to Swindon.

The plan is bad Gloucester, bad for jobs and bad for the environment.

The challenge facing Julian Wain is to promote regeneration and attract new business to Gloucester while at the same time attempting to keep an essential postal network in Gloucester.

As the circus is in town at the moment perhaps Julian could take a few tips from the juggler.
