From The Citizen - 27th April 2007

IT looks like Royal Mail executive is running the Royal Mail and the post office down even further, giving away our city centre post offices to WH Smiths:

How can a business that has people queuing for service out onto the street not be in profit? Maybe WH Smith should have been 'invited in as a concession? '

With aggressive investors out to buy even huge firms like Boots, our post offices are not in safe hands in the private sector and the news that Royal Mail is unable to close down Gloucester mail centre in 2008 (now it's 2009) is a sign of the same short term thinking that closed down our mail trains. Our long distance inland mail is now sent by air adding to our carbon footprint.
